Passport & Visa Requirements

Visitors from non-EU countries must possess a passport which is valid for at least 3 months following the Congress.

Participants requiring a visa should apply immediately to a consular office or a diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic in their country in order to avoid a delayed arrival to the Congress. Please note that the visa application procedure can take up to two months. It is not possible to obtain a visa at the Prague Airport.

The Congress Secretariat will assist the participants by processing the official invitation letter upon request. These letters do not commit the Congress Secretariat to any financial obligations.

Requirements for visa application:

  1. Passport - valid for at least 3 months (sometimes 6 months) following the Congress.
     
  2. Invitation letter - each participant should check at the Embassy of Czech Republic in his country whether an invitation letter from the Congress Secretariat is enough or if an official invitation from the Immigration Police of the Czech Republic is also required. 
     
    Invitation letter includes:
    - name and surname of the participant
    - passport number
    - date and signature
     
    Invitation from the Immigration Police of the Czech Republic should include:
    - 2 invitation forms, stamped
    - hotel confirmation
    - declaration of medical insurance
    - documents about SICOT
      
  3. Travel insurance - all participants asking for a visa must arrange for a travel insurance before departure, otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the Czech Republic.
