Thomas Oxland

"BIOMECHANICAL ASPECTS OF SPINAL CORD INJURY"

Prof Thomas Oxland is a Professor of Orthopaedics and Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia and also the Director of the Division of Orthopaedic Engineering Research at Vancouver General Hospital. He is a biomedical engineer with research expertise in orthopaedic biomechanics. His specific areas of focus include orthopaedic implants and surgical techniques and the biomechanical aspects of the spine and spinal injury. He is a Canada Research Chair in Biomedical Engineering.
