- SICOT: steep expansion in excellence and participation
The 33rd SICOT & 17th PAOA Orthopaedic World Conference was as great as its host city, Dubai, a place of superlatives. This year, 3,856 participants coming from 104 different countries were registered for the conference. The five most represented nations were India, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Egypt and Japan. This continuous growth confirms the interest in and the need for a comprehensive international society of orthopaedic surgery. Read more...

SICOT/Assiut University Training Fellowship Report

I am always eager to learn and was definitely excited when I learnt of my SICOT/Assiut University Training Fellowship. I arrived on 10 September 2011 upon my return from the SICOT Triennial World Congress in Prague, Czech Republic, and made my way to Assiut and specifically to Assiut University Hospital, Trauma Unit. "Welcome" they said, as I was received by the Assistant Lecture and Residents at the Trauma Unit. This was most reassuring and I was immediately introduced to other workers which made my integration early and quick. Read more...

Clinical Research Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University
This one-year fellowship is designed to provide advanced exposure to shoulder conditions and operative procedures and also to provide the opportunity to do research. The fellow will observe surgery and clinic and attend educational conferences. There are many opportunities for research with the goal to publish as many worthy papers a year as possible.
